Take, for instance, this very cool Hermès Brown Leather Close Contact 17” English Saddle. Made of brown buffalo hide and finished with Hermès-stamped silver studs, this piece is the real deal.
After a little bit of research, I found out that "close contact" means that the rider, saddle and horse will literally be closer together because of the thinness and positioning of this saddle, allowing for the most interaction possible. Like all Hermès leatherwork, this equestrian gear is beautifully made by hand with only the finest materials.
