Precise Timing

I have been on Olympic lockdown mode this week. It's really hard to pull yourself away, especially when there are so many great events to watch (swimming and gymnastics get all the glory, but I've become a fan of badminton and synchronized diving too). Of course, the biggest story of the Games continues to be Michael Phelps   and his reign of glory (or terror, if you're the competition). Last night he won his fourth and fifth golds, and he's on track to smash nearly every record out there.

In swimming, especially, the clock is really the most important piece of the equation. It's amazing to see if the swimmers are on world record pace as they make turns, and it's thrilling to see them touch the wall and how many milliseconds separate the winners and losers. It's entirely fitting, then, that Portero is highlighting our fabulous selection of watches this week. And we even have options in Gold, Silver (Stainless Steel) and Bronze (Rose gold).

To make the process even easier, we're putting all of the watches into categories by price.
Click right here to go to the homepage and select by price. Whatever your budget, we've got you covered with a wide range of timepieces that suit all styles. From sport to dress, metal bracelets to leather straps, just search by price and you'll come up with a selection that you can afford.

And, in the Olympic spirit, here are my picks for a Gold, Silver (Stainless Steel) and Bronze (Rose Gold) that will make you look and feel like winner.

Gold: Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Lady 18-karat yellow gold and diamond quartz watch. You'll have this one forever, and be able to pass it down to the next generation.

Silver: Blancpain Leman Ultra-Slim stainless steel automatic watch. I love the classic round face and the thin profile.

Bronze: Patek Philippe Vintage Top Hat 18-karat rose gold manual watch. Made in the 1950s, this watch is stunning in its simplicity.
